You’ve seen our review of the WarMouse Meta mouse (once more infamously known as the Open Office mouse ), and it looks like you’ll soon be able to get your hands on all eighteen of those buttons yourself — the company has just announced that the mouse will finally start shipping on June 28th. As expected, it will set you back $79.99, and give you an analog joystick and a 5600-CPI laser sensor to go along with all those buttons and endless configuration options. It doesn’t exactly look like it’ll be widely available just yet, though — especially considering that the WarMouse website still requires that you fill out a .doc file and send it in to place your order.
A new discovery for the Nokia N8 opens up some cool possibilities. FoneArena published a video showing a bluetooth mouse controlling the N8. I think this could be really useful in the living room while the device is connected to a big-screen TV for movies or at the office for giving presentations. Take a look.
What good is a Blue Track mouse in only pink and gray ? Not nearly as good as one splashed in every pastel you can think of, and especially not as good as a new trio of varied ones. Microsoft’s Wireless Mobile Mose 3500 family — announced earlier this year as some of the most portable BlueTrack mice this planet has ever seen — just gained three new vivid members, and each of ‘em are on sale now at Best Buy for a penny under $30. If we had to guess, we’d say these are perfect for the KIN demographic

By Andrew Liszewski With a little more planning and foresight, Sony Japan could have released these 5 new Bluetooth mice in colors that matched the updated VAIO P’s palette, making them the perfect accessory for anyone picking up one of their just announced notebooks. But, with a color assortment that only seems to randomly match 3 of the 5 new VAIOs, they end up being nothing more than your run-of-the-mill, 3-button wireless Bluetooth mice with a $55 price tag that doesn’t make them that interesting in an already crowded marketplace. The OM wireless optical mouse is a flat surface the size of a hand, only 10 millimeter thick at its highest point. In theory, it makes your hand relax. In the practice, it’s a very cool concept. More »
SteelSeries seems to have worked out their new favorite niche recently, between their World of Warcraft, and StarCraft II themed products . Add another couple of products to that list, with the R.U.S.E mouse and the QcK gaming surface (don’t call it a mouse pad). Both products are related to the new Ubisoft RTS game, and feature graphics inspired by the game. The mouse is a quite respectable laser mouse with their high end sensor system and specialized drivers that make it ideal for gamers.

You know what, the more we look at this thing, the less crazy we think it is. While the concept of mousing around your desktop on foot may appear foreign at first, we imagine we can get used to it after a while. Not that it’s designed for lazybones like us anyway, as the wireless Toe Mouse concept is primarily intended to help out people with upper limb disabilities, who aren’t able to navigate in the usual manner. Just to score some extra flair points, designer Liu Yi also points out it has a “streamline model that symbolizes the motorboat surfing the internet.” So it’s not just practical, it’s also poetic.

In the film Minority Report , Tom Cruise utilizes amazing technologies from the year 2054, including talking billboards, jetpacks, and most famously, augmented reality gloves that allowed him to interact with a computer interface without ever touching it. Needless to say, this very popular movie has spawned tons of technological inspiration. Two students from MIT, Tony Hyun Kim and Nevada Sanchez, decided to go a step further, and the results are awesome to behold. For a class project last year, the two developed mouse gloves.
The cool new Black Edition of the already awesome FireGlider mouse breathes some new life into the lungs of style starved gamers. There’s no more fire on the mouse and replaces it with a very tangible satin surface. There are seven buttons on this cool laser mouse. Six of these are programmable.
If you’re a big fan of Apple’s Magic Mouse but not such a big fan of the hand and wrist pain that many people experience after extended use, you’ll want to check out this cheap hack. More »
It’s not a new idea to stick little gel pads onto mice and keyboards to cope with the strain of browsing the Internet all day long, but the PADandCLICK system for mice caught our eye because it actually looks comfortable . More »
While it’s hard to say if Apple’s Magic Mouse really needs “fixing” — it depends somewhat on your grip — it’s not a huge stretch to say that the slender multitouch device doesn’t quite fit in the palm of one’s hand. Sensing a market opportunity, Will of MMFixed.com recently decided to come to our collective rescue. For $10, he offers a simple silicone block that matches the mouse’s contoured surface nicely, with an integrated suction cup that keeps it securely fastened. While it’s not quite a one-size-fits-all solution, it’s certainly a lot cheaper than buying one of the new whacky , adjustable mice we’ve seen recently; and if the idea of ergonomics via marshmallow doesn’t appeal to you, you can always try the white bread variety.
